Industrialization has being choosen to be a solution to develop the society income. Focus in the society purchasing power, was expected to make the life quality better. In this case, needs special attention to those who participate in industry sector. The human resources or labours are the most sensitive part supporting the continuity of industry, while the most basic need to meet their daily needs is their wages. Manufacturing industry also give a large contribution to Medan's PDRB. Beside that, this sector also being a powerful sector in creating job opportunity and increasing society welfare mainly the industry labours welfare. Wages always be the favorite topic in industrial relation. It often appears demonstration about wages, and the raise of wages. The labour asked for their rights, but many employer don't understand them or escape from that problem, because for them wages is a cost burden in production process that will reduce their profitability. But sometimes the opposite condition happened. The labour don't considered if their ability, productivity was proper to ask for wages raising. What is the function of wages? It can improve labour's motivation, productivity, and their spirit in work. The wages rate is very basic case for labour. The largest part from their income is from wages. In other words, the wages is a part of personal income that have connection to meet their daily needs and generally their welfare. The object of this scription is Analysis of labour wages and welfare at some industry in Medan. There are three industry being analysis. These manufacturing industries employ at least one hundred labour/worker for production process, which classified as a big industry according to Badan Pusat Statistik. From the calculation can be conclude that the wages rate is significantly being influence by three factors analysis here. Those factors are working hour, experience/how long the labour work for the industry! year, and education. The biggest influence is given by working hour factor followed by education and experience. These three factors give positive influence to wages rate.
