Optimization of downstream palm oil industry in North Sumatera by utilizing the existence of SEZ
SeiMangkei has not realized yet. Investors have not made SEZ SeiMangkei as the main choice of investment
location in downstream palm oil industry. The existence of SEZ which should provide incentives and lower
production costs has not realized. Inadequate management policies, the development of investment support
infrastructure that seems slow, and unfulfilled investment incentive policies should be an inhibiting factor in
the investment of the downstream palm oil industry in SEZ SeiMangkei. The various problems caused the role
of SEZ SeiMangkei be insignificant in supporting the development of the region in North Sumatra. It requires
the harmonization of policies and regulations related to the implementation and activities of SEZ SeiMangkei.
The support of all stakeholders is urgently needed so that issues in SEZ Mangkei Sequence can be completed.
