Rattan business entrepreneurs need attention, training, and guidance from various parties, especially from the academicians in from of continuous assistance, counseling, training, and guidance. Nowadays, they have to face a lot of obstacles and challenges to remain competitive in market, especially for the upcoming MEA (ASEAN Economic Society), which demanding an excellence competencies in order to win the competition with local and foreign competitors. Several times of interview was conducted to the entrepreneurs and we found that there were so many things needed to be guided. The rattan entrepreneurs did not understand how to create a good bookkeeping. They did not learn how to do the production process effectively and efficiently, thus they performed the process wastefully. Entrepreneurs still lacked of entrepreneurship. They acted with workers mindset so that all the product they produced were sold mainly to a bigger enterprises in which subcontracted the whole rattan production process to them. They also sold the product to some agents and rattan markets, but they acted in worker mindset and keep their profit margins low. Based on the findings, it is necessary to give assistance, training and guidance of book keeping programs for micro enterprises. It also necessary to give marketing, entrepreneurship training, including how to learn an effective and efficient production process. The purpose of the programs is to empowering the partners with a good knowledge of a bookkeeping activities, creating a financial report, increasing their entrepreneurship and marketing capabilities, and enhancing their managerial capabilities so they can be more capable and competitive. As they may transfer the knowledge to another micro business enterpriser, all enterpriser are going to be more developed, increasing their competitiveness, be ready for MEA, and the national economy will be better.
