dc.description.abstractPink Guava waste obtained after juice processing still contains large amounts of polyphenols, which act as antioxidants. Our previous study has indicated that pink guava waste obtained after juice processing still contain large amounts of polyphenols, which act as antioxidants. The effect of different solvents, mix concentration between MethanollWater, extraction time and ratio waste/solvent on the yield of e"tracted antioxidants from three sources of pink guava processing wastes to optimize the extraction was investigated . Folin-Ciocalteau method was used to determine the total polyphenols content. Total polyphenols content from 0.03 to 0.12 mg/g and the highest is by using methanol as a solvent. The highest polyphenols content at mix concentration between 60% methanOl/water, concentration of polyphenols increased by increasing extraction time and the highest polyphenols extraction observed when using I g waste/25 ml methanol/water 60% as solvent. Membrane technologies are presented as alternative techniques to recovery of the polyphenols after extraction method. Selections of solvent by membrane arc performed using the highest of solvent between methanol/water (60%) and purc water. Recovery of polyphenol was extracted by pure water is better than using methanol/water (60%).id
