dc.description.abstractThe research of the fabrication and characterization od polymer-based composide Iile with the addition of HDPE waste and short fiber empty fruit bunches of oil palm as well as bitumen and sand as fillers has beenn done. This study aims to determine the variations in the composition of oil palm empty fruit bunches fiber (TKKS) on the characteristics oj tile. HDPE and used asphalt composition fixed at 30% and 5%, while the composition of sand and TKKS fiber was varied in the comparison: 65%: 0%, 64%: 1%. 63%: 2%. 62% : 3%, 6 1%: 4%, 60%: 5%, characterization that was performed including the density, water ahsorption, tensile test. bending test, impact test and critical temperature of DTA. The results showed tile characterization is strongly influenced by the mass percentage of TKKS fiber. The optimum characterization was achieve in composition of 30:60:5:5 and was obtaned that density of 1379 kg/ m3 water absorption of 2. 19%, tensile strength 2, 89 MPa. bending strength of 12,04 MPa. The impact strength of 14,58 Kj./m2 . glass temperature (Tg) of 125 and decomposition temperature of 32 C. The addition of as much as 5% palm fiber add tarik up to 46. 32% f1exural strength up to 49.22% and impact strength up to 2I7. 39%.id
dc.description.abstractTelah dilakukon penelilian tentang pembuatan dan karakterisasi genteng komposit polimer berhasis HDPE dengan penambahan serat pendek tandan kosong kelapa sawit serta aspal dan pasir sebagai bahan pengisi dan penguat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi komposisi serta tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) terhadap karakteristik genteng Komposisi HDPE. dan aspal digunakan tetap yaitu 30% dan 5%, sedangkan komposisi pasir dan serst TKKS divariasikan dengan perbadingan : 65% : 0%, 64%: 1%. 63% : 2%. 62% : 3%. 61% : 4%. 60% : 5 %. Karakterisasi meliputi pengujian kerapatan daya serap air, uji tarik. uji lentur. uji impak dan uji DTA. Hasilnya menunukkan karakterisasi genteng dipengaruhi oleh persentase massa serat TKKS. Karakterisasi optimum dicapai pada 30:60:5:5 dan diperoleh nilai kerapatan 1379 kg/m3, daya serap air 2.19%. kekuatan tarik 2, 89 MPa. kekuatan lentur 12,04 MPa. kekuatan impak 14,58 kj/m2 dan suhu gelas (Tg) 125 C dan dekomposisi (Td) 320 C.id
