This study aims to determine the role of Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) in Bandung City Government as manager and provider of publik information services. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative method with case study approach. The data collection was done by participating observation, interviews, literature review and documentation. Informants in this study were selected using purposive sampling technique by taking multiple data sources through a particular consideration to the purpose of research. The results showed that the role of which is held by the Official Information and Documentation (PPID) Government of Bandung, especially in managing and serving the publik information, significantly visible from the many people who use publik information services from year to year, either by visiting the office of PPID in meupun directly access online media. PPID Government of Bandung has a service standard of publik information that is good enough to follow the rules and criteria established by the Information Commission Regulation No. 1 of 2010 about Publik Information Service Standards. Handling objections are handled by PPID Government of Bandung is considered good enough to provide convenience to the publik in accordance related regulations. Reporting and evaluation of the role and duties of PPID is done through a method of monitoring and evaluation (M & E) organized by the Information Commission of West Java Province and research to the publik through the website. Efforts are made in order to create good governance and transparency (good governance).
