dc.description.abstract | The study on mangrove wood activation has been done by using the healing method at temperatures from 500® C to 900 ® C for 60 minutes. The main objective of this study is to determine the characteristics of activated carbonfor river water puripication using optimum mangrove wood activated carbon. The caracteristics of sample were water content, volatile matter content, ash content, carbon content and water absorption. Based on SNI Number 06-3730-1995 the best result of sample has showed the water content of 4.25%, ZMM content of 9.99%, ash content of 2.44%, carbon content 87,68%, and water absorption of 51.76%. its was obtained at temperature of 500®C. Testing result of some parameters temperature, turbidity,TDS,Colour, odor, taste, pH, Fe and Al, Suggests that all parameters are test fulfilled the standard clean water. | id |
dc.description.abstract | Telah dilakukan aktivasi arang kayu bakau dengan metode aktivasi pemanasan pada suhu 500®C sampai dengan 900®C dengan waktu penahanan selama 60 menit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik karbon aktif Kayu Bakau sebagai filter pada penjernihan air sungai. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan meliputi kadar air. Kadar zat mudah menguap (ZMM), kadar abu, dan kadar karbon. Berdasarkan SNI No. 06-3730-1995 hasil pengujian karbon aktif Kayu Bakau yang terbaik (optimum) dengan kadar air 4,25%, kadar ZMM 9,88%, kadar abu 2,44%, kadar karbon 87,88% dan daya serap 51,76% diperoleh pada suhu aktivasi 500®C. Pengujian beberapa parameter penjernihan air dengan karbon aktif kayu bakau optimum menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian telah memenuhi standar air bersih untuk parameter suhu, kekeruhan, TDS, warna, bau, rasa, pH, Fe dan Al. | id |
