Struktur Upacara Menempati Rumah Baru Masyarakat Tionghoa di Medan

Abstract

Judul skripsi ini adalah “ Struktur Upacara Menempati Rumah Baru Masyarakat Tionghoa”. Skripsi ini menganalisis sistem upacara mnempati rumah baru masyarakat Tionghoa. Pada umumnya masih banyak orang belum mengetahui sistem upacara menempati rumah baru masyarakat Tionghoa yang sebenarnya. Salah satu budaya asing yang memiliki pengaruh besar di Indonesia adalah budaya Tionghoa. Menempati rumah baru masyarakat Tionghoa masih dilaksanakan berdasarkan ajaran yang dipercayai masing-masing, seperti ajaran Konfusianisme, Taoisme dan Buddhisme. Ketiga ajaran ini saling mempengaruhi dalam melaksanakan kebudayaan. Dalam penelitin ini penulis menggunakan teori upacara oleh Koentjaraningrat dan teori semiotik oleh Sander Pierce untuk menganalisis struktur upacara menempati rumah baru dan makna dari upacara tersebut. data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini file riset dan hasilwawancara penelitian yang berhubungan dengan menempati rumah masyarakat Tionghoa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana struktur upacara menempati rumah baru masyarakat Tionghoa di Medan.

The title of this thesis is "Ceremonial Structure Occupies New House of Chinese Society". This thesis analyzes the ceremonial system of a new house of Chinese society. In general there are still many people do not know the ceremony system occupy the new home of the actual Chinese society. One of the foreign cultures that have great influence in Indonesia is Chinese culture. Occupying the new home of Chinese society is still carried out on the basis of the beliefs of each, such as the teachings of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. These three teachings influence each other in carrying out the culture. In this study the author uses ceremonial theory by Koentjaraningrat and semiotic theory by Sander Pierce to analyze the ceremonial structure of occupying the new house and the meaning of the ceremony. The data used in this research is the research file and the result of the research interview related to occupying the house of Chinese society. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study show how the ceremonial structure occupies a new home of Chinese people in Medan.
