    Abstract
Kuala Namu International Airport ( KNIA ) is the second largest airport in Indonesia after Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, which is located in Deli Serdang, North Sumatera. Batang Kuis, Deli Serdang, North Sumatera which until now is still developing into a MGTA ( Main Gate Towards the Airport ) is on the growth potential of development in Deli Serdang. Based on this, Batang Kuis will be developed into a new city that the growth of the development may support Kuala Namu Airport called Aerotropolis ( Airport and Metropolis ). The need to increase the volume of business and commercial around the airport, that this aerotropolis will become a new destination for tourists and local people to meet, work, shop, do business, look for an entertainment and more. So we need facilities that can meet those needs i.e. is a container. One of those containers is business hotel which is its main facilities can accommodate all the business activities from the hotel guests ( meeting room, business centre, exhibition room, and more ) with the approach of Tropical Architecture. Tropical Architecture is a concept that adapt to the surrounding environment by observing the terms of materials, air circulation, and natural lighting. This planning concept is expected to be able to anticipate future needs so that the aerotropolis concept can work well. Those needs can be met by providing various support facilities ( entertainment, commercial, offices) and means of transportation to Kuala Namu which is easily reachable.
