    Abstract
    Pengawasan kualitas air dalam sistem distribusi telah menjadi sebuah permasalahan yang sering dijumpai dalam jaringan air. Sebuah algoritma dibentuk untuk digunakan dalam pemodelan kualitas air dengan sistem distribusi dalam tangki penyimpanan dimana model yang dihasilkan dapat dilakukan simulasi terhadap pencampuran antara zat-zat terlarut. Model yang digunakan dapat memprediksi keseimbangan massa material untuk perhitungan transportasi, pencampuran dan reaksi kinetik dimana proses yang sering terjadi adalah merepresentasikan fenomena dasar seperti sirkuit pendek dan zona kejenuhan untuk semua tipe distribusi fasilitas penyimpanan. Metode tersebut diharapkan mampu memanajemen kualitas air dalam sistem ditribusinya.
     
    Maintaining water quality in distribution systems has become a prominent issue in the study of water networks. An explicit algorithm is developed for use in modelling water quality within distribution system storage anks or resevoir with the resulitng model closely simultating the dynamics of mixing of disolved substances. The model is predicated on material mass balance that accounts for transport, mixing, and kinetic reaction processes while inherently representing physically phenomena such as short-circuiting and stagnation zones for all type distribution storage fasilities. The method should prove to be a valuable tool for managing water quality in water distribution systems.
