    Abstract
    Langkat sebagai salah satu daerah lumbung padi di Sumatera Utara, perlu dikaji jaringan irigasinya yang menjadi sumber air untuk meningkatkan produksi padinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi produksi padi Daerah Irigasi Namu Sira-Sira di Kecamatan Sei Bingai Kabupaten Langkat dalam aras pencapaian produksi padi yang maksimal, berdasarkan tingkat radiasi matahari, lama waktu pertumbuhan tanaman padi, serta varietas padi yang ditanam. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji nisbah luas lahan beririgasi dengan luas lahan panen, nisbah jaringan irigasi teknis dengan semi teknis dan sederhana, dan keandalan jaringan irigasi. Dalam kurun waktu 2009-2013 diperoleh hasil bahwa keandalan jaringan irigasi sudah cukup baik. Rata-rata nilai nisbah luas lahan beririgasi dengan luas lahan panen 2,2, nisbah jaringan irigasi teknis dengan semi teknis dan sederhana 5,82 dan aras pencapaian produksi padi 70,68%.
     
    Langkat as one of rice centra region in North Sumatera need to be inspected on wet rice fields condition to hold out and increase production. The purpose of this research was to study the rice potential production on Namu Sira-Sira irrigation fields in Sei Bingai town Langkat regency in achieving the maximum level of rice production based on radiation level, time to grow rice, and rice variety. This research also studied the ratio between irrigation field and crops field, the ratio between technical irrigation and pra technical and conventional irrigation and realibility of existing irrigation networks. In the year of 2009-2013, the results indicated that the irrigation network realibility is better. The average of ratio between irrigation field and crops field is 2,2, the average of ratio between technical irrigation and pra technical and conventional irrigation determined of 5,82 and the rice production target was 70,68%
