dc.description.abstractJahe merah memiliki efek antibakteri dan antiinflamasi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya kandungan minyak atsiri, gingerol, dan tanin di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi Kadar Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan Kadar Bunuh Minimum (KBM) dari ekstrak jahe merah terhadap Fusobacterium nucleatum. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimental laboratorium post test only control group design dan dilaksanakan secara in vitro. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampel Fusobacterium nucleatum (ATCC 25586) yang dibiakkan dalam media Nutrient Agar (NA). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 27 sampel dengan perulangan 5 kali. Pengujian efektivitas ekstrak jahe merah terhadap Fusobacterium nucleatum dilakukan dengan metode dilusi cair dan dilusi padat. Proses pengamatan dilakukan secara visual dengan bantuan 3 pengamat. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa nilai KHM ekstrak jahe merah terhadap Fusobacterium nucleatum adalah sebesar 12,5%, sedangkan nilai KBM sebesar 25% dan menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak jahe merah memiliki efek antibakteri terhadap bakteri Fusobacterium nucleatum dengan 3 konsentrasi (100%, 50%, 25%) yang digunakan menghasilkan media yang steril dari bakteri.en_US
dc.description.abstractRed ginger has antibacterial and antiinflamation activity. These were caused by essential oils, gingerol, tanin, and alkaloid contents inside. This experiment is conducted to determine Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimal Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) of Red Ginger extract against Fusobacterium nucleatum. Researcher was using in vitro quasi laboratory experimental with post test only control group design. The sample was 27 Fusobacterium nucleatum (ATCC 25586) bred in Nutrient Agar (NA) media with 5 replication each concentration. Analyzing of the effect is done by liquid and solid dilution method with visual observation. Each observation carried out by 3 observer. Results demonstrated that Red Ginger extract has MIC value of 6,25% and MBC value of 25% against Fusobacterium nucleatum and showed that Red Ginger extract has antibacterial ativity against Fusobacterium nucleatum with 3 concentration (100%, 50%, and 25%) used result in sterile.en_US
