    Abstract
    Lipstik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan manusia terutama wanita. Produk ini digunakan secara berulang kali setiap hari sehingga diperlukan persyaratan agar produk tidak menimbulkan efek buruk di kemudian hari. Usaha peningkatan kecantikan dilakukan dengan berbagai cara, mulai dari tradisional sampai dengan penggunaan zat-zat kimia secara modern. Badan pengawas pangan dan obat-obatan di Amerika Serikat (FDA) melakukan analilis penelitian bahwa terdapat timbal diatas persyaratan untuk kosmetik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan cemaran timbal dalam berbagai bentuk sediaan pada lipstik. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan sampel yang terdiri dari 2 jenis yaitu bermerek dan tidak bermerek dan dilakukan analisis kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri serapan atom dengan graphite furnace pada panjang gelombang 283,3 nm untuk timbal.Analisis kualitatif timbal dilakukan dengan pereaksi dithizon 0,005% b/v pada pH 8,5 (untuk timbal) yang dapat membedakan keberadaan masing-masing ion timbal. Analisis kuantitatif pada Lipstik I menunjukkan kadar rata-rata timbal sebanyak (0,0089± 0,00295) ppm, Lipstik II sebanyak (0,01196± 0,00402) ppm dan Lipstik III sebanyak (0,00903± 0,00229) ppm. Pengujian beda nilai rata-rata kadar timbal secara statistik memberikan hasil yang berbeda secara signifikan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga kosmetik yang mengandung cemaran timbal namun masih berada dalam batas keamanan.Health Canada dalam Guidance on Heavy Metal Impurities in Cosmetics pada tahun 2012 menyatakan batas maksimum cemaran timbal dalam kosmetik adalah 10 ppm.
     
    Lipstick is one of human needs, especially women. These products are worn continuing again and every day so that the necessary requirements so that products do not make adverse effects in the future. Efforts to increase the beauty do in various ways, ranging from the traditional until use of chemicals in modern. Regulatory agency of food and medicine in the United States (FDA) conducted a study that found lead analitical above requirements for cosmetics. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of lead contamination in a variety of dosage forms on lipstick. Method study conducted with a sample consisting of 2 types of branded and unbranded and qualitative analysis.Quantitative analysis was conducted using atomic absorption spectrophotometry with a graphite furnace at a wavelength of 283.3 nm for lead. Qualitative analysis was carried out with reagents lead dithizon 0.005% w/v at pH 8.5 (for lead) that can distinguish the presence of lead ions, respectively. Quantitative analysis on Lipstick I shows the average levels of lead as much (0.0089 ± 0.00295) ppm, as much Lipstick II ( 0.01196 ± 0.00402 ) ppm and as much Lipstick III (0.00903 ± 0.00229) ppm. Testing different values average lead content gives results that are statistically significantly different. From the research it can be concluded that the three pieces of cosmetics containing lead contamination but still within safety limits. Health Canada in the Guidance on Heavy Metal Impurities in Cosmetics in 2012 stated maximum limit of contamination of lead in cosmetics is 10 ppm.
