dc.description.abstractKomunikasi interpersonal merupakan komunikasi yang paling efektif untuk mengubah sikap, pendapat atau perilaku manusia berhubung prosesnya yang dialogis berupa percakapan. Pelayanan keperawatan di rumah sakit oleh perawat pelaksana sangat menentukan kinerja perawat pelaksana terutama ketrampilan komunikasi antara kepala ruangan dengan perawat pelaksana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal kepala ruangan terhadap kinerja perawat pelaksana ruang rawat inap di RSUD dr.Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini bersifat explanatory research dengan rancangan potong lintang yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat, yaitu pengaruh variabel komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja perawat pelaksana ruang rawat inap. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perawat pelaksana yang berpendidikan minimal D3 keperawatan dan tidak menjabat sebagai kepala ruangan. Berdasarkan data perawat pelaksana di RSUD dr.Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar sebanyak 126 orang dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode random sampling sehingga ditemukan responden sebanyak 54 orang. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan responden dan diuji regresi linier berganda pada taraf kepercayaan 0,05 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang berhubungan dengan komunikasi interpersonal adalah keterbukaan, empati, sikap mendukung, sikap positif dan kesetaraan. Hasil uji regresi linier berganda ditemukan variabel empati dalam komunikasi interpersonal lebih dominan terhadap kinerja perawat pelaksana ruang rawat inap di RSUD dr.Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar dengan nilai r = 0,428 disusul dengan variabel kesetaraan nilai r = 0,301 dan sikap mendukung dengan nilai r = 0,244 Disarankan bagi pihak rumah sakit umum daerah dr.Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja perawat pelaksana dapat memberikan informasi komunikasi interpersonal yang baik dengan memperhatikan faktor efektifitas komunikasi interpersonal. Setiap kepala ruang perawatan perlu melakukan komunikasi yang efektif dengan perawat pelaksana, khususnya bersikap objektif. Diperlukan dukungan Komite Keperawatan RSUD dr.Djasamen Saragih Pematangsiantar supaya memberikan kesempatan bagi setiap kepala ruang perawatan mengikuti pelatihan atau kursus tentang komunikasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi secara efektif.en_US
dc.description.abstractInterpersonal communication is the most effective communication to change attitudes, opinions or human behavior since its process is a dialogical form of conversation. Nursing service provided in hospitals which is performed by nurses determines the performance of the nurses themselves especially in terms of the communication skills between the head of ward and the nurses on duty. The purpose of this explanatory study with cross-sectional design was to analyze the influence of interpersonal communication of the head of ward (independent variable) on the performance of the nurses on duty in the in-patient ward (dependent variable) at dr. Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar. The population of this study was 126 nurses on duty who were at least graduated from D3 Nursing and were not serving as the head of ward at dr. Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar, and 54 of them were selected to be the samples for this study through random sampling method. The data for this study were obtained through interviews and the data obtained were analyzed through multiple linier regression tests at level of confidence 0.05. The result of this study showed that the variables related to interpersonal communication were openness, empathy, being supportive, positive attitudes and equality. The result of multiple linier regression tests showed that the variable of empathy in interpersonal communication had more dominant influence on the performance of the nurses on duty in the in-patient ward at dr. Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar with r = 0.428 followed by the variables of equality with r = 0.301 and being supportive with r = 0.244. The management of dr. Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar is suggested to improve the performance of the nurses through the provision of the information on good interpersonal communication by paying attention to the factor of the effectiveness of interpersonal communication. Every head of ward should perform effective communication especially to be objective to the nurses on duty. The support of Nursing Committee of dr. Djasamen Saragih General Hospital Pematangsiantar is needed that every head of ward can get opportunity to attend the training or course on communication to improve their ability to effectively communicate.en_US
