dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this descriptive quantitative explanatory survey study was to find out and analyze the influence of work satisfaction and motivation on the performances of the employees with organizational commitment as intervening variable (a Study on the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan). The were obtaied through documentation study and questionnaire distribution. The data obtained were analyzed through Structural Equation Model (SEM). The result of this study was that work satisfaction had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Motivation had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Work satisfaction had positive and significant influence on the performance of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Motivation did not have any positive and insignificant influence on organizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Organizational commitment had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Work satisfaction indirectly had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees through the variable of organizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Motivation did not have positive influence and indirectly be insignificant on the performances of the employees through the variable of organizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medan.en_US
