dc.description.abstractOperasi sectio caesaria dapat menimbulkan respon stress, salah satu diantaranya yaitu peningkatan kadar gula darah. Maka dari itu perlu dicari teknik anestesi yang mana lebih menekan respon stress dalam hal kadar gula darah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan pengaruh pemberian anestesi spinal dengan anestesi epidural terhadap kadar gula darah. 40 orang sampel diperoleh dengan metode consecutive sampling dan dibagi dalam 2 kelompok. Kelompok I merupakan anestesi spinal, sedangkan kelompok II merupakan anestesi epidural. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan di jari II,III, atau IV sebelum dianestesi dan setelah onset anestesi mulai menggunakan alat EasyTouch® GCU. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik analitik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan penurunan kadar gula darah antara anestesi spinal dengan epidural. Mean penurunan kadar gula darah anestesi spinal sebesar 11.3 mg/dL, sedangkan anestesi epidural sebesar 5.45 mg/dL. Uji statistik perbandingan penurunan kadar gula darah antara dua kelompok menunjukkan nilai p = 0.007 (p<0.05). Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara penurunan kadar gula darah anestesi spinal dengan anestesi epidural. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu anestesi spinal dan anestesi epidural dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah setelah dianestesi pada pasien sectio caesaria. Serta penurunan kadar gula darah pada anestesi spinal lebih besar daripada anestesi epidural dan secara statistik bermakna.en_US
dc.description.abstractSectio caesaria surgery may cause stress responses, one of which is resulting in an increase in blood glucose level. Realising this, there is a need to find which type of anaesthesia performs better in suppressing the mentioned stress responses. Research is done to figure out if there is any differentiation in effect between spinal anaesthesia and epidural anaesthesia towards blood glucose level. Samples from 40 people are gathered by using the consecutive sampling method and those samples are then divided into 2 groups. Group I and Group II will be using spinal anesthesia and epidural anesthesia respectively. Blood sampling is done from finger II, III, or IV before and after they are anesthetized using the EasyTouch® GCU. The data will be analyzed by statistical analysis. The outcome of the research indicates how spinal anaesthesia and epidural anaesthesia behave differently in lowering the blood glucose level. Spinal anaesthesia is able to reduce blood glucose level by a mean value of 11.3 mg/dL while on the other hand, epidural anaesthesia is only able to reduce by 5.45 mg/dL. Statistics shows the comparison between the two groups in lowering blood glucose level by the p-value of 0.007 (p<0.05). There is a significant contrast in how the two anaesthesia lowers glucose level in blood. In result,both spinal and epidural anaesthesia have effect in lowering blood glucose level after anaesthesia induction for patients undergoing section caesaria. Last but not least, spinal anaesthesia has better in lowering blood glucose level than epidural anaesthesia significantly.en_US
