    Pengaruh Dosis Dan Jenis Sumber Nitogen Terhadap Produksi Dan Mutu Bayam Cabut (Amaranthus Sp.)

    Abstract
    The aim of this research is to know the effect of three kinds of nitrogen fertilizer with different dosage on growth, production and quality of spinach (Amaranthus sp.) The experiment was conducted at Pasar VI, Gg. Bunga Ester VII No.5, Kecamatan Selayang II Padang Bulan Medan, started from August until September 2004. The experiment was designed by using the Factorial Complete Randomized Block model with two factors and three replicates. The first factor is kind of nitrogen fertilizer (N), consist of N1 (urea), N2 (Ammonium Sulfate), and N3 (Ammonium nitrate). The second factor consist of four dosage levels for each kind of nitrogen fertilizer (D): D1 (22,5 kg/ha), D2 (45 kg/ha), D3 (67,5 kg/ha), and D4 (90 kg/ha). The results show that the kinds of nitrogen fertilizer had significant effect on plant height, plant fresh weight, plant fresh weight per plot, and Ferrum value, but non-significant effect on stem diameter, number of leaves, number of remaining leaves, leaf area, number of chlorophile, plant dry weight, protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, Calcium, Nitrate and Oxalate value. While the nitrogen dosage of fertilizer had highly significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of remaining leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, and plant fresh weight per plot. The nitrogen dosage had significant effect on protein and Ferrum value, but had non-significant effect on Nitrate and Oxalate value. The effect of interaction between kind of fertilizer and nitrogen dosage had non-significant effect on all parameters observed. These results indicated that the best production of spinach had obtained by apply Ammonium Sulfate fertilizer (N2) with nitrogen dosage between 67,5 kg/ha (D3) and 90 kg/ha (D4).
     
    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan pemupukan dengan tiga jenis pupuk N dan dosis nitrogen yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas hasil produksi bayam cabut (Amaranthus sp.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pasar VI, Gg. Bunga Ester VII No.5, Kecamatan Selayang II, Padang Bulan Medan, mulai bulan Agustus sampai September 2004. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan model Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk nitrogen (N) dengan 3 jenis yaitu: N1 (urea), N2 (Ammonium Sulfat) dan N3 (Ammonium Nitrat). Faktor kedua adalah dosis nitrogen (D) dengan empat taraf yaitu Dl (22,5 kg/ha), D2 (45 kg/ha), D3 (67,5 kg/ha) dan D4 (90 kg/ha). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa jenis pupuk nitrogen berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, bobot segar tanaman sampel, bobot segar tanaman per plot dan zat besi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap diameter batang, jumlah daun terbentuk, jumlah daun tinggal, luas helai daun, jumlah khlorofil, bobot kering tanaman, kandungan protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, kadar Kalsium, kandungan Nitrat dan Oksalat. Sedangkan dosis nitrogen berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun terbentuk, jumlah daun tinggal, luas helai daun, bobot segar tanaman sampel, bobot segar tanaman per plot, jumlah klorofil daun, bobot kering tanaman sampel, kadar vitamin A, vitamin C dan kalsium. Pengaruh nyata terdapat pada kandungan protein dan zat besi, dan pengaruh tidak nyata pada kadar nitrat dan oksalat. Interaksi antara jenis dan dosis pupuk nitrogen yang berbeda berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produksi bayam cabut yang terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan pupuk ZA (Ammonium Sulfat) dengan dosis nitrogen antara 67,5 - 90 kg/ha.
