| Abstract: | The availability of drugs at any time is one important aspect in the management of drugs at health center. Based on preliminary survey at Medan City Health Center found the availability of drugs in 2010 an average of 69.81% branded drugs and 67.37% generic drugs who available are insufficient both in types and amounts up to one month of service and is still a vacuum or a deficiency of drugs.
The purpose of this explanatory survey study was to analyze the influence of intrinsict and extrinsict motivation on the performance of the drug manager in Medan City Health Center. This research was conducted in June through October 2011. The population of this study were all of the drug manager at Medan City Health Center as many as 39 people, and all of them were selected to be sample. The data for this study were obtained through interviews using questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple regression test at α = 5%.
The result of this study showed that statistically the intrinsict motivation and extrinsict motivation had significantly influence on the performance of drug manager in the Medan City Health Center. Extrinsict motivation variable gave greater influence on the performance of drug manager.
It is recommended to the District Health Office and all of Health Centre in Medan City to: (1) create a firm rule through the form of corrective disciplinary sanctions for drug manager who are not disciplined at work, (2) continuously improve the supervision and technical counseling to drug managers in health centers, (3) perform a comprehensive evaluation, and (4) improve the provision of incentives for the drug managers through the budget proposal. |
| Abstract (other language): | Ketersediaan obat setiap saat merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pengelolaan obat di Puskesmas. Berdasarkan survei pendahuluan di Puskesmas Kota Medan ditemukan ketersediaan obat tahun 2010 rata-rata 69,81% obat generik dan 67,37 % obat berlogo yang tersedia tidak cukup baik jenis maupun jumlah sampai waktu satu bulan pelayanan dan masih terjadi kekosongan atau kekurangan obat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap kinerja pengelola obat di Puskesmas Kota Medan. Jenis penelitian survei explanatory. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juni sampai dengan Oktober 2011. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh pengelola obat yang bertugas di Puskesmas Kota Medan, sebanyak 39 orang dan seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, dianalisis dengan regresi berganda pada α=0.05.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara statistik motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pengelola obat di Puskesmas Kota Medan. Variabel motivasi ekstrinsik memberikan pengaruh lebih besar terhadap kinerja pengelola obat.
Disarankan kepada Dinas Kesehatan dan Puskesmas Kota Medan untuk : (1) membuat aturan yang tegas melalui kegiatan pendisiplinan korektif berupa pemberian sanksi kepada pengelola obat yang tidak disiplin dalam bekerja, (2) mengupayakan supervisi dan bimbingan teknis kepada pengelola obat puskesmas secara terus menerus, (3) melakukan evaluasi secara komprehensif, dan (4) mengupayakan peningkatan insentif bagi pengelola obat melalui pengusulan anggaran. |
