| Abstract: | The experiment was conducted to determine the influence both of Bayfolan concentration and planting media to the growth and yield of mustard.
The experiment was conducted in the screen house Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatera, Medan with the height ± 25 meter above sea level from February till April 2005. Experimental design was Factorial Randomized Block Design with 2 factors. The first factor is Bayfolan concentration with 4 levels consists of B0 (0 cc/l water), (1 cc/l water), B2 (2 cc/l water), and B3 (3 cc/I water) and the second factor is kind of planting media with 3 kinds consists of M0 (top soil), Mt (top soil : sand = 3 : 1), and Ma (top soil : sand = 2:1) with 3 replications.
The results showed that Bayfolan concentration was non significant to all observed parameters, consists of plant height, leave amount, leaf area index, plant fresh weight, stem with leave wet weight, and harvest index. Kind of planting media was non significant to all observed parameter. Interaction of Bayfolan concentration and planting media was non significant to all observed parameters. |
| Abstract (other language): | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi Bayfolan dan jenis media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi sawi.
Penelitian ini dilakukan di rumah kasa Fakultas Pertanian USU, Medan dengan ketinggian ± 25 meter di atas permukaan laut pada bulan Februari sampai April 2005. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Faktor I adalah Konsentrasi Bayfolan (B) dengan 4 taraf terdiri dari Bo (0 cc/l air), Bi (1 cc/l air), B2 (2 cc/l air), dan B3 (3 cc/l air). Faktor II adalah jenis media tanam (M) dengan 3 jenis perlakuan terdiri dari Mo (top soil), Mi (top soil: pasir = 3:1), dan M2 (top soil: pasir = 2:1).
Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi Bayfolan terdiri dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, total luas daun, berat basah keseluruhan, berat basah batang dan daun, dan indeks panen. Jenis media tanam memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua peubah amatan dan interaksi antara perlakuan konsentrasi Bayfolan dan jenis media tanam berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua peubah amatan. |
