dc.description.abstractKantor Regional VI Badan Kepegawaian Negara Medan merupakan salah satu instansi pemerintah yang memiliki tugas menyelenggarakan sebagian tugas pokok dan fungsi Badan Kepegawaian Negara di bidang administrasi dan manajemen kepegawaian negara di wilayah kerjanya. Beberapa permasalahan berkaitan dengan lingkungan kerja Kanreg VI BKN Medan diantaranya adalah keluhan sebagian besar pegawai berkaitan dengan kondisi ruangan kerja yang belum memberikan kenyamanan bagi pegawai dalam beraktivitas. Selain itu, disiplin kerja juga memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi pegawai. Disiplin kerja yang tinggi akan mempercepat pencapaian tujuan organisasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia yang berkaitan dengan Lingkungan Kerja, Disiplin Kerja dan Motivasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan survey, jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dan sifat penelitiannya adalah penjelasan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Populasi adalah seluruh pegawai Kanreg VI BKN Medan. Penentuan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Slovin. Hasil penelitian uji Hipotesis Pertama menunjukkan bahwa secara serempak lingkungan kerja dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap motivasi pegawai Kanreg VI BKN Medan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi pegawai Kanreg VI BKN Medan dapat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja dan disiplin kerja. Secara parsial variabel lingkungan kerja berpengaruh lebih dominan daripada variabel disiplin kerja. Artinya, variabel lingkungan kerja lebih berperan dalam menentukan motivasi pegawai Kanreg VI BKN Medan dibandingkan dengan variabel disiplin kerja. Pada Hipotesis Kedua, secara serempak sarana dan prasarana berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap lingkungan kerja Kanreg VI BKN Medan. Secara parsial variabel sarana berpengaruh lebih dominan daripada variabel prasarana. Artinya, variabel sarana lebih berperan dalam menentukan lingkungan kerja Kanreg VI BKN Medan dibandingkan dengan variabel prasarana. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Secara serempak, lingkungan kerja dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap motivasi pegawai Kanreg VI BKN Medan, dan secara parsial lingkungan kerja berpengaruh lebih dominan daripada variabel disiplin kerja; 2) Pada hipotesis kedua, secara serempak menunjukkan bahwa sarana dan prasarana berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap lingkungan kerja Kanreg VI BKN Medan, dan secara parsial variabel sarana berpengaruh lebih dominan daripada variabel prasarana.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board in Medan is one of the state agencies that implement part of the main duties and functions of the National Employee Affairs Board in the field of administration and management in its working area. Several problems related to the job description in the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board in Medan are the complaints of most employees concerning the condition of their offices which have not provided them with comfort while they are working. In addition, work discipline also plays an important role in an attempt to improve the motivation of the employees. High work discipline will speed up the achievement of the objectives of organization. This descriptive quantitative survey study employed the theory of Human Resources Management which is related to Work Environment, Work Discipline, and Motivation. The populations of this study were all of the employees of the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board in Medan. The data obtained for this study were analyzed through multiple linear regression tests. The size of the samples used in this study was determined based on the formula of Slovin. The result of the first hypothesis test showed that simultaneously work environment and work discipline had a significant influence on the motivation of employees in the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board Medan. This shows that the motivation of the employees in the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board Medan can be influenced by work environment and work discipline. Partially, the variable of work environment has a more dominant influence compared to the variable of work discipline. Meaning, the variable of work environment plays more roles in determinating the motivation of the employees in the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board Medan compared to the variable of work discipline. The result of the second hypothesis showed that simultaneously facilities and infrastructures had a very significant influence on the work environment of the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board in Medan. Partially, the variable of facility had a more dominant influence compared to the variable of infrastructure. Meaning, the variable of facility plays more roles in determinating the work environment of the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board in Medan compared to the variable of infrastructure. The conclusion of this study is: 1) simultaneously, work environment and work discipline have a very significant influence on the motivation of the employees in the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board Medan, and partially, work environment has a more dominant influence compared to the variable of work disciple; 2) In the second hypothesis, simultaneously it shows that facility and infrastructure have a very significant influence on the work environment of the Regional Office IV of National Employee Affairs Board Medan, and partially, the variable of facility has a more dominant influence compared to the variable of infrastructure.en_US
