Title: Uji Efektifitas Pupuk Mikro Zink Sulphate Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Selada (Lactuca Sativa L.)

Abstract: The objective of the reseach is to study the effectivity of micro zinc sulphate fertilizer on the growth and production of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). The research was done at Kwala Bekala field kelurahan Sidomulyo Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan on Juli 2007 until September 2007. The study applied Randomize Block Design (RBD) non factorial with five treatments namely: Z0 (control), Z1 (NPK 1,25 g/plant), Z2 (NPK 1,25 g/ plant + Zink 0,01 g/ plant); Z3 (NPK 1,25 g/ plant + Zink 0,02 g/ plant); Z4 (NPK 1,25 g/ plant + Zink 0,03 g/ plant) with 4 replications of treatment for each. The parameter observed is the height of plant, total of leaf, biomass product per plant, fresh product per plant, shoot/root ratio, and harvest index. The result of the research showed that the biomass product per plant, fresh product per plant, shoot/root ratio and harvest index were significantly affected by the micro zinc sulphate fertilizer, but the height of plant and total number of leaf unsignificantly affected
Abstract (other language): Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui uji efektifitas pupuk mikro zink sulphate terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Kwala Bekala kelurahan Sidomulyo Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan, yang berlangsung pada bulan Juli 2007 sampai September 2007. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan perlakuan sebagai berikut : Z0 (kontrol), Z1 (NPK 1,25 g/tanaman); Z2 (NPK 1,25 g/tanaman + Zink 0,01 g/tanaman); Z3 (NPK 1,25 g/tanaman + Zink 0,02 g/tanaman); Z4 (NPK 1,25 g/tanaman + Zink 0,03 g/tanaman), dimana tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, total jumlah daun, produksi biomassa per tanaman, produksi segar jual per tanaman, shoot/root ratio, indeks panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk mikro zink sulphate berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi biomassa per tanaman, produksi segar jual per tanaman, shoot/root ratio, indeks panen.
