Perancangan Perangkat Lunak Untuk Mendeteksi Perangkat Keras Komputer Pada Local Area Network (LAN)

Abstract

This study is about hardware identification of client computer in a network by a server computer. The hardware which is identified are the type of processor, memory, hard disk drives, and graphic card. All client computer must be connected to a server computer with the same domain in order to identify the hardware of client computers properly by the server. The data of computer hardware of Windows operating system can be found in system information for Windows. To determine the changes of the client computer hardware, the data of the client computers hardware is stored in a database first. Determination of the client computer hardware is by comparing the hardware data of the system information for Windows with the hardware data in the database. This application is built using Visual Basic programming language.
