Title: Implementation of Quality Assurance for Higher Education : USU Experience and Program

Abstract: In an effort to perform the normative policy of USU Academic Senate, and USU General Development Policy set by the Board of Trustee, the Rectorate of USU carried out the operational policy which basically performed an establishment transformation in order to improve the institution‘s capability to meet the challenges arising in public in an accurate and swift manner. Establishment transformation was directed to form academic excellence, welfare, and pioneer in the public, also for the improvement of the institution with the primary goal of guaranteeing the achievement of goals through the application of good corporate governance principles. USU started the plan for an integrated quality assurance system in 2005, supported by the accelerative project of Legal Entity University (LE). The activity that was carried out was the formulation of USU‘s quality assurance system; for which several trainings about the quality assurance system were held. Comparative studies are done to various universities that have performed quality assurance system.
