Hubungan Persepsi Tubuh Ideal dengan Konsumsi Makanan pada Mahasiswa FK USU Angkatan 20009 di Medan Tahun 2010

Abstract

In adolescence, there is a change of physical, biological, and cognitive rapid and drastic. Rapid change has led to its own response to the adoslescent form of behavior is very concerned about his figure. This study aims to determine the relationship perceptions of ideal body with food consumption in college students of FK USU 2009 in Medan in 2010. This was a cross sectional analytic design. The sample in this study are student of FK USU 2009 were 97 peoples taken at random. The primary data collected through direct interview with the respondent using a questionnaire. The results with chi-square test showed that there were perceptions of ideal body relationship with the consumption of foods with a value of p = 0.008 (the value α = 0.05). Perception of ideal body satisfy the majority of the respondents (88.7%). Food consumption needs of the majority of the respondents were satisfied (86.6%). From the results of this study can concluded that if the respondent perceives his body well the consumption of food is adequate.
