| Abstract: | Adolescence has unique problem different to that of childhood and infancy, or adulthood. It is also true of medical matters, particularly the reproductive health. As
children have insufficient sexual arousal, and the sexual arousal is managed simply in
adulthood, in adolescence the sexual arousal usually begins to appear and it is often in
high urgence, but in the same time they lack of experience to deal with it. The
information of reproductive health problem is often gained from inappropriate source,
subsequently the practice is at risk. PIKIR-PKPA is service and information center for adolescence. The teenagers are expected to take the study in improving the knowledge and awareness of reproductive and sexual health in North Sumatera.
For the purpose, the writer is interested to conduct a research “The Envolvement of
Companionship Students in Reproductive and Gender Health Information Center Activity
in Assesment and Infant Protection Centers (PIKIR-PKPA)”. The respondents in this research were the companionship students participating in Counselor Training 2006, consisting of 25 idividualis. The method used was descrirtive method to collect the data and quetionnaer was distributed to collect the data, including interview and library research. It could be concluded thad student was categorized into active involvement. |
