Analisis Prioritas Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Efektivitas Fungsi Terminal Amplas

In order to build an effective and an efficient transportation system, the government provides several of facilities for the benefit of the people. Terminal is a place for loading and unloading, traffic interchange mode and a place for the public drivers to take a rest the aim of this research is to determine the main factors which affect the effectiveness of a terminal as a place for transportation enhancement. Analytical hierarchy process is the method used to analyse data collected through observations and direct interviews. The focus of the research is on the terminal components, such as passenger components, government components, and operator components. The observation and interviews were done at terminals, pools, junctions near the terminals and agency/public transportation offices. The sample comprises 94 persons (11 persons represent the government, 53 persons represent the passengers and 30 persons represent public drivers and public transportation merchants). The findings indicate that the main factors affecting the efficiency of the terminal are passenger, government and operator components and the related elements, such as, security, traffic service, accessibility, terminal facilities, and environment.
