Level of road service is the measurement of road quality. There are many factors that contributes to the comfort and geometric of road measurement especially factors related to the limitation of the traffic volume. Bus stops as an important street furniture in the city is required by public transportation as a waiting places and interchange for the passengers. If bus stops utilizes properly, they can be one of the elements that help to smoothen the traffic flow and guaranteed the feeling of security to the public transportation users. Public transportation drivers who allow the passenger(s) to aligh at an improper places such as on the street corner or in the middle of the road, are not aware of traffic regulations and may contribute to traffic congestion. Bus stops became an important element in the transport planning standard ift properly used by the public. The gist of this study is to examine the relationship between the level of road service (LOS) and bus stop performance at Jalan Gatot Subroto, Medan focusing on Simpang Majestik to Simpang Kapten Muslim.The study was based on field observation, interviews plus existing data from printed materials available from the city council. The findings revealed that the levels of road and bus stop services are cross-examined with public perception obtained through questionnaires. These data are analyzed by using the correlation technique available through statistical analysis. The relationship between the level of road service and bus stop performance shows that the LOS is 3. The bus stop reaches its maximum function if the traffic flow is smooth, well planned, and the public transportation users participate in keeping the proper use of the bus stop.
