| Abstract (other language): | The low quality of human resources have probably been the strongest drives among company and peasants to exploit the forest resources as the main income generating. Local wisdom which is a apart of human resources is still one of the most important factor in maintaining natural forest recources. The goal of this research is aimed to know the existence of local wisdom of peasants of the forest outskirt area not only viewed by human relations but also man and its natural. The goal of this research is aimed to find factors in which influenced the existence of local wisdom on the peasant community that is deteriorating local wisdom as well. It used quantitative and qualitative method. There are two kinds of data to be taken from the field, i.e primary and secondary data. Primary data used depth interview and primary data was taken by litature searching and documents accumulation. Research was located in Banyumas Regency and also Mandailing Natal Regency. First, this research showed that there was a difference among peasants in the sub-district of Banyumas Regency-Central Java and in the sub-district of Muara Sipongi, South Sumatra in relation with local wisdom of and its attitude to the market penetration. This research pointed out that peasant who have more local wisdom are relatively more successful in the keeping up the forest resources. Implication of this research can be drawn are: lt is necessary for us to maintain local wisdom in the globalization era. That’s why, ecological axioma “no free lunch” is still urgently needed. |
