The growth and development of the tissue culture of Sumatrana benzoin (Styrax benzoin Dryander) is explained. The research was performed to obtain the best technique for propagation of the benzoin. The study was carried out by using completed random design (CRD) with two treatment factors. The results indicated that the growth regulators influenced callus shoot and root development. The percentage of callus growth is varies between 50-83%, in which the highest was found 83% in D1B0 and D2B0 respectively. The weight of the callus was 0.319 g that was found in D3B3. The average number of the root produced D3B0 was 5.50 in which the root was produced separately from shoot, and there was no plantlet observed in the culture.
