Desentralisasi Dan Potensi Konflik Horizontal: Refleksi Relasi Pusat Dan Daerah

This article draws on the horizontal conflicts that have taken place in the era of transition from centralized political system to democratic government. Changes in governance for upholding people’s sovereignty, in fact, have been unable to fulfill the wishes of the people. Decentralization has brought many problems, among others, the clash of political interests among the power wielders at local levels. Local elites are competing each other in pursuing power. Conflicts tend to occur between host population and migrants.
