| Abstract (other language): | Culturally, Malay society spreads in Southeast Asia, and their Diasporas in Oceania
and Madagascar. This paper will analyze the existence tourism and cultural performing art
of Malay in North Sumatra, Aceh, and Malaysia Peninsular with
descriptive?analytical approach. The Malay in these areas has a rich tourism objects/places:
natural land and water, ritual praying, historic artefacts, zoo, and so on.
The tourism always uses the performing art in many events. Malay performing art,
can be analyzed throughout the music, dance, and theater.
The performing art genre expresses some elements: animism,
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Western, and indigenous elements.
Some genres express multifaceted elements and
the others are dominated by one era.
It always changes and continues through its history,
by responding to the world cultural transformation.
There are some links and shape the sinergy between tourism and
art in Malay World.
