Title: Pengaruh Suplementasi Hidrolisat Bulu Ayam, Mineral Esensial dalam Ransum Berbasis Limbah Perkebunan terhadap Utilisasi dan Nilai Biologis Protein pada Domba (The Effect of Hidrolyzed Poultry Feather and Mineral Essential Supplementation in Plantation

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penambahan hidrolisat bulu ayam, mineral Cl, S, dan I, Co, Se terhadap deposisi protein dan lemak. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktorial 2 x 4. Faktor I adalah bangsa domba yang terdiri dari 2 level yaitu; b1 = lokal dan b2 = persilangan. Faktor II adalah suplementasi terdiri dari 4 level yaitu s1 = ransum basal (kontrol) mengandung 14% protein kasar dan 70% nutrisi dapat dicerna (TDN), s2 = s1 + hidrolisat bulu ayam 3%. s3 = s2 + 0,12% Cl +0,17% S, dan s4 = s3 + 0,40 ppm I + 0,15 ppm Co + 0,15 ppm Se. Penelitian ini menggunakan 24 ekor domba jantan, 12 ekor b1 dan 12 ekor b2. Ternak dibagi 3 kelompok berdasarkan bobot badan awal. Bobot badan awal domba 23,90 ± 2,60 kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi hidrolisat bulu ayam, mineral S, Cl dan I, Co, dan Se dapat meningkatkan (P<0.05) nilai utilisasi protein dan pada b2 lebih tinggi dibanding b1(40,50 vs 39,75 %). Sedangkan nilai biologis protein tidak berbeda nyata (P> 0.05). Dari uraian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa limbah perkebunan setelah disuplementasi dengan hidrolisat bulu ayam, mineral esensial Cl, S dan I, Co, Se dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti hijauan pakan ternak untuk domba
Abstract (other language): The objective of this study was to know the effect of supplementation hidrolyzed poultry feather and S, Cl as the essential macro mineral and I, Co, Se as essential rare mineral in plantation by-product based ration on utilization and biological value of protein. The experiment was designed in a randomized complete block design with 2 x 4 factorial arrangement. The first factor was sheep breed consisted of 2 levels, b1 (Sumatra Thin Tail Lamb) and b2 (Sunge Putih Crossbred Lamb). The second factor was supplementation consisted of 4 levels, s1 = basal ration (control) contains 14% crude protein (CP) and 70% total digestible nutrient (TDN). s2= s1 + hidrolyzed poultry feather 3%. s3 = s2 + 0,12% Cl + 0,17% S and s4 = s3+ 0,40 ppm I + 0,15 ppm Co + 0,15 ppm Se. Twenty four heads lamb, 12 heads b1 and 12 heads b2 were used in the experiment. Lambs were divided into 3 group based on the initial body weight. Initial body weight of lamb was 23,90 ± 2,60 kg. The result of research showed that of supplementation hydrolyzed poultry feather and S, Cl as well as I, Co, Se increase (P 0.05). It was concluded that by-product supplemented with hidrolyzed poultry feather and S, Cl as well as I, Co, Se could be used as substitute of grass for sheep.
