The activity of research is to produce new innovations which are expected to be able to increase the quality and productivity of a scientific journal. The scientific journal usually consists of many scientific articles which are systematic, explanatory, objective and rational. Therefore, it needs the library materials as references which will be scientific foundation to support the description of the scientific paper and be scientific folder to decrease subjectivity, in order to increase objectivity. The fact that in the activity of writing scientific papers, found the irrelevance between cited subjects and citing subjects (researched articles). Cited documents are only used to make the references list full without thinking of the contribution and relevance from them. Documents which become the objects of this research are scientific articles in Journal of Technology Education 2006-2007. Method used in this research is descriptive method. The tools to prepare the data are Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) by using the approach of subject analysis. Determining samples is done with total sampling (20 articles). The whole articles prepared/worked by doing procedures as follows: identifying data, calculating data, collecting data, preparing and discussing data to get the final conclusion of the discussed data above. The result of this research shows that there is only 35% of the average of relevant cited subjects to citing subjects which shows a development of deeper and more specific research. There is 23% of the average of cited subjects which are at marginal relevance shows that there is communication among the subjects in the same department namely Educational Technology. There is 42% of the average of irrelevant cited subjects or not suitable to citing subject shows that the subject of articles research in Journal of Technology Education (JTE) 2006-2007 are multidiscipline.
