There are many motivations to relate with banks, either as creditor or as debitor. The reasons of community to make relationship with banking including : compensation of capital paid, safety, facility/flexibility, costing service, and consideration of applicable banking system. Therefore, the choice of community against banking system (interest system or equity) depends on underlying motivation. It should be in awareness that the underlying motivation may be interaction of (any) motivations above. The final decision will be determined by considering those motivations. The motivation of customer is influenced by some factors, generally it can be categorized into: (I) demographic variable, (2) economic variable, and (3) social variable. The demographic variable consists of : educational level, age and sex (gender). And economic variable consists of: family income, expenditure of family, type of professional business and accessability (transportation and communication system). And social variable consists of: social status, religion and tolerance of idea.
