Up to 1986, the growth of Indonesia export was still dominater by oil ang gas. Since 1987, it change due to some new deregulaton and policies issued by Indonesian government. These deregulation and policies have enabled the producers and exporters of non-oil commodities to improve and increase their production and expert as wel. It brought a significant impact ao non-oil export, one of them is rubber export. Rubber has important role in Indonesia economy. The rubber is not only carried on by big state plantations which has area until hundread thousands hecare, but also caried on by citizen. Total area of rubber plantation in Indonesia is the widest in the world after Malaysia and Thailand. But, the wide area is not balanced by good management. Only few of big state plantation which has good management. But most of citizens plantation are not managed so good. As the result, the rubber productivity become low. Even Indonesia rubber production under Malaysia and Thailand. So the the writer choice the title" Analysis Production Responds Natural Rubber in Indonesia". This research use regression analysis with OLS method by using a computer programe called Eviews 4.1, and used data time series data along 1990-2003. The writer got data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in Medan Regency. The result ot this research shows that among the rubber export, exchange rate, inflation rate, the ruber price, and total tube (inner tubes rubber and new pneumatic tyres for passenger car) have positively significant influence to production responds natural rubber in Indonesia. The rubber export, exchenge rate, inflation rate, and the rubber price have significant to production responds, while the total tube (inner tubes rubber and new pneumatic tyres for passenger car) has no significant effect.
