Participation of women in any development process is an efficient action. It also means that their participation uses high potential human resources. Without their participation in development probably has a negative effect on growth rate of our economy. Theory of economy states that either consumption rate or consumption pattern is closely related to income rate because of the higher is income of any household, the higher is expenditure proportion. The influence of total members of any household on rate and pattern of consumption also cannot be neglected in such a way due to there is generally a corellation between total members of a household and consumption rate in budget of any household. One of the most important indicators of improved income and larger employment especially in the lower-educated society is marketplace. In general, most of marketplace activities either in rural or in urban regions are run by women as backbones of their individual households in addition to increase income of their husbands. Similarly, Tavip is the largest marketplace in Binjai Municipality. It has been known that income rate, number of household-dependents, and total saving have a great influence on consumption pattern of women and even they have a determination coefficient as of 0.98 at confidence level of 95%.
